Detectives assigned to the Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Division arrested two men this week on several drug charges. After a thorough drug investigation, detectives executed two search warrants this past week on a vehicle and a hotel room in the town of DeWitt. While executing said search warrant, detectives recovered one ounce of cocaine,471 baggies of a synthetic cathinone (federally scheduled but not NYS scheduled) pound of marihuana, approximately $4000 in U.S. Currency, scales and packaging materials, a loaded 45 caliber handgun, and a small amount of heroin-suboxone.
Detectives arrested Kenneth Blair (34) of Syracuse and Joseph Kinsella (24) of Camillus. Blair, a two time federally convicted felon and a 2-time state convicted felon, was charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 3rd and 7th degree, two counts of criminal uses of drug paraphernalia in the 2nd degree and Possession of an Imitation Controlled Substance. Blair was arraigned and released on pre-trial.
