In his letter to the campaign, State Comptroller DiNapoli stated:

Marty’s legislative experience in the City of Syracuse and Onondaga County, coupled with his experience as City Auditor and over 20 years of business experience, make him an ideal candidate for Onondaga County Comptroller, and I am pleased to endorse him.”
